This survey on FB tells me one thing that despite ridiculing Zulfiqar Mirza for 24 hours, Media was not able to shift the perception of the public. Opinion of 13,549 is worth to note in this context. It should also be noted that FB is Pakistan is accessed by only the literate and educated people, who belong to middle class and above. Since it is an opinion therefore anyone can always disagree. Remarks of Mr. Waheed Baloch in a group 'Pakistan Media Watch' on FB are also worth noting:
Again this is an opinion and one can always disagree, however it is interesting to note that many protesters justified that killings and loss of property by putting a blame on Zulfiqar Mirza, live on TV.
By virtue of killing more than 14 people, injuring more than 100 people, shutting down Karachi and Hyderabad completely the MQM proved its zero tolerance, and zero value to human lives. Is this the actual character of the political party that wants to deliver masses from the clutches of so-called feudal?
Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza may have shown the poor taste of words, nonetheless, he described the history in abrasive words. Like it or not, he was using his right to freedom of expression.
Everybody has a right to peacefully protest against Dr. Mirza, raise slogans, and burn his effigies. But, nobody has a right to take lives of innocent people, burn buses, and cause poor daily wage earners to go empty belly. That is the case of criminal violation, and the culprits should be grabbed, and tried for their high crimes against humanity.
I am flabbergasted at the attitude of so-called journalists (huh), and the self-proclaimed intellectuals to provide justification for those killings by accusing Dr. Mirza of using foul mouth. You can try Dr. Mirza in a court of law, and hang him high if proven guilty. But, all of those who condone these barbaric acts of MQM workers are guilty by association. MQM supporters in Karachi and Hyderabad, who participated in this mayhem actually proved themselves as the followers of a cult, than the members of a civilized society.

Do not forget that surveys conducted on FB are among those who are your friends and friends are generally like-minded people...... Therfore, any survey conducted on FB would never give you actual result since it is not carried out among the real representitive set of people
ReplyDeletehis would only be correct if the responses are in hundreds, the responses are 13K +, this is huge and ask any market research expert what does this number means for a survey.
